Unmissable Opportunity: Javier Fernandez to lead ISA Athlete Development Camp this April!
ISA is proud to present an exceptional opportunity for Australian skaters: a 5-day skater development camp featuring Olympic medallist and two-time World Champion, Javier Fernandez!
This exclusive event is a collaboration between ISA Athlete Development, ISA High Performance and Liverpool Catholic Club Ice Skating Club, scheduled for 2-6 April 2024.
The experience:
· World-class coaching: Gain from the unparalleled experience of global skating icon Javier Fernandez, 2018 Olympic bronze medallist, two-time World Champion and seven-time European Champion.
· Expert guidance: Jonathan Guerreiro, Olympic athlete, international medallist and ISA Athlete Development Chair, will lead the team of local experts sharing their knowledge and insights.
· Physical conditioning: Off-ice training sessions designed to complement your on-ice performance will run each day.
· A holistic program: In addition to on-ice and off-ice training, you will participate in a range of sessions to help you thrive in the sport.
· Feedback from Experts: Engage with judges and technical panellists for constructive feedback and insights, a key component for advancing your skills.
Seminars:
· Optimised nutrition: Advice from an expert nutritionist to help you fuel your body correctly.
· Mental health awareness: Strengthen your mental resilience and contribute to a positive and supportive skating community.
· Clean sport education: Understand the importance of competing clean and the risks and consequences of doping.
· Juggling commitments: Gain insights on managing academic commitments alongside your skating career.
· Insightful feedback: Direct advice and critiques from seasoned judges and technical experts.
Eligibility: The camp is open to all Australian skaters at Basic Novice level and above.
Schedule: Five full days of immersive training, including a 1-hour lunch break for relaxation and networking. Space is limited to ensure a focused and impactful experience for all participants. Camp will run from 6am – 12pm each day. It is highly recommended that athletes attend all 5 days.
Cost: $500 for the full 5 days of intensive training and development, or $100 per day.
