ISU Synchronized Skating World Championships 2026

The final event of the skating season took place from April 10th-11th in the beautiful city of Salzburg, Austria.

This event brings together the top senior synchronized skating teams from around the world to compete for the World Title. Australia was represented by Team Unity from NSW.

For Team Unity to get to worlds is a struggle, particularly with the limited training facilities in NSW. The team has to travel to get ice time when and where they can. So to make it to Worlds is a major achievement.

The short program saw Team Unity place 20th with a score of 41.01. They received levels 2, 3 and 4s for their elements with a range of GOEs from -2 to +2.

For the free skating program the team achieved a score of 90.17, placing them in 20th position for the free skate and resulting in 20th position overall. A great performance with many +1 and +2 GOEs and levels ranging from 2 to 4 on their elements.

Well done to the skaters and coaches on a fantastic performance. We are very proud of you all.

Also well done to our Australian officials Rebecca Andrew (Referee) and Liz Alexandre (Judge) who were selected to officiate at Worlds.
